I think that I am about to give in and go buy one especially after reading the Teaching Palettes recommendations for itouch/iphone applications. If you have one already can you add to their list? I just found these neat tips for using the iphone

David's dad just gave me his *old* itouch (It's only a week old!) and I have been using it non stop. I have some of the applications that both David (Carrot Revolution) and the Teaching Palette talk about on their blogs. Some of them are very neat, some of them I'm not sure why I need to carry the application around with me at all times. This being said though, I've only had it for less than a week and have not been using it in an educational setting. Once I get back to school my feeling about some of the other applications may change.
I do love it for the simple fact that, depending on the availability of open networks, I always have a connection to the internet that easily fits into my purse. I also like being able to have a place to store electronic notes. Often times, I scribble things on random pieces of paper, which then get shoved in the bottom of my bag, never to be seen again.
From a living in Shanghai perspective, I love that I always have a Chinese taxi guide and dictionary on me at all times.
Thanks I had forgotten about the taxi book. I downloaded a bunch of apps from the teaching palette article. I also found a free chinese english dictionary that looks pretty good. The itouch is addictive and fun. Hope all is going well this exciting year for you both... kendra
