A must read for anyone interested in 21st Century Learning.

Here is a link to a wiki that I began 5 years ago in my eagerness to embrace change. Check it out and please add to it! https://21stcenturyarteducators.wikispaces.com/

Cathy Davidson has just come out with a book on learning today and it is one of the best I have read on why we must begin to change our ways...

We have been having some discussions here at Loreto about the 'flipped' classroom and its possibilities. Am planning to do some 'flipping' for my Year 11 students relating to their study of Marcel Duchamp and Damien Hirst so will share anything I come up with!

thanks for the resources... you would be a very successful "flipper" if you so chose i am sure!

Love TED ED and the possibilities for 'flipping' videos, especially using some of the Khan Academy resources - 2 that I have used recently are on Damien Hirst and Ai Weiwei

Hello everyone, I recently joined the group. I am the Education Coordinator at Asia Society Texas Center (ASTC) in Houston's Museum District: asiasociety.org/texas. I am developing art gallery cell phone guide tours for adult visitors and families. In the future, I would live to develop an art gallery bar code for smartphones, so visitors can access additional information about the artwork. We also have a Social Media Specialist, who manages the ASTC Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Hi Brian, the web site looks great - I am looking forward to really going through it carefully as I am sure there is much there that will be of interest to us here in Sydney. Our photographic wiki 'relay' between students in Australia and Beijing is continuing, and the students have produced some really interesting photographic responses to and re-enactments of each others' works which highlight their very different worlds...

Here is a series of Voicethreads on Form, Theme and Context that I used to flip my art classroom.  Student comments are included.

Just uploaded a new version of a website dealing with teaching art in the 21st century.  Student examples, links to smart stuff, projects to share and more.  Visit here.  Suggestions welcome.

Currently using a wiki to share photos between my students in Sydney and students at BCIS in Beijing - we are trialling a photographic 'art relay' - will upload some of my students' images to my page. Very interested in following up how others are using wikis and other interesting applications to support and enhance learning and break down some of the isolation within individual classrooms, was also thinking about ways to link my students with international artists....has anyone out there done that?
