This is a powerpoint I made for students about linocut if anyone would like to use it:

Here's another one specifically relating to linocut portraits:

One of my classes just started a linocut project where they have to use a piece of text (poem, quote, passage from a favorite book) to inspire their imagery. Would be interested to hear/see what others are doing for linocut projects in the high school classroom.

Looking forward to the print making resources! Doing a lino print for my Grade 4s now and they love it! Had to scare them first, to get focused on safety hehe...

Hi everyone, I am the new kid on the block. I have been teaching for 30+ years and have been an Artist/Combined Media Printmaker for 30+ and even more years. My studio work can be found at and I have just retired from teaching. Thanks for extending your friendship. Jan

We are currently focusing on intaglio printing with our Years 7 - 10 students, using plastic drypoint and paper dryppoint plates with Year 7, Aluminium Hard Ground Plates and Collagraph plates with Year 9, and photopolymer solar plates with Year 10. I will post some images as soon as students have finished their current projects. We have also had some very successful results with Year 9 students doing carborundum printing.
