Comment by Tom Wood on August 2, 2012 at 3:46pm Mature students who are keen, listen and happy to experiment, my whole philosophy is to enjoy the oil paint and not be frightened of it and I show them all kind of techniques and methods to do just that. This is a lovely painting I think and even better in real life where you can really see the variety of textures and the richness of the colour. Painting should be fun and this I think shows it.
Oddly the yellow teapot is from Beijing, a souvenir from the last time I was there.
