I teach art for pre-K through grade 5 at the International Montessori School of Beijing. After several years of teaching and working as a photographer, teacher, and for a gallery here in China, I think I've finally found my calling.
I'm also currently an M.A. candidate in art education at Teachers College, Columbia University (New York, NY, USA). It's a three-summer program, so I'll be going back for my second summer in July.
I'm here on this blog because I'm a young teacher and hoping to share ideas, lessons plans, and thoughts on life and teaching art here in Asia. I'd also love to get the advice of older teachers who are willing to share.
My preferred personal medium in art is photography, though my current favorite medium to teach is collage....I'm sure this is all certain to change, however...
