My name is Katie Flowers and I work as one of the art teachers at Hong Kong International School. I have been in Hong Kong a very long time, 21 years although grew up in England and then came to Hong Kong to work at Yew Chung International School. At the same time, in 1992 I started work with Lindsey McAlister to create the first ever HK Youth Arts Festival, I worked with and alongside the festival for 13 years on educational and community arts projects with local teachers and artists.
I recently completed an Ma Ed in Environmental Education, which has informed many of the large scale art and nature projects that I have worked on with both teachers and students here in Hong Kong.
I also create my own mixed media journals as well as botanical paintings featuring the flora of Hong Kong, England Bali.
Take a peek at my flickr site, where you can see various arts and nature projects.
