Art educators living, working or interested in Asia
Hi all,
The Asian Art Museum has just created a new Facebook page for teachers. Of note is a link to a fabulous talk (in video form) given to Chinese American International School teachers on how the "hidden meanings in Chinese art" can be used to teach Chinese language skills and explore symbols, metaphors, and visual puns. Check it out: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Asian-Art-Museum-for-Teachers/1345698...."Like" the page to stay up-to-date on the museum's latest student and teacher resources and programs.

Comment by Lorraine Tuchfeld on September 3, 2011 at 2:16am Thanks, Kendra! We're so happy to hear that you're using the "Hidden Meanings" book. We're in the process of creating new curriculum related to celebrations and festivals in Asia wherein we're incorporating some elements from "Hidden Meanings" into the lessons/activities. We hope to have it up on our website this winter, so please stay tuned.
Thanks again,
Lorraine
